The new complex for the Jewish community follows the existing functionalist building of synagogue in Brno, designed by Jewish architect Otto Eisler in 1936.
The concept is based on crossfading spaces from a private place of worship (the Synagogue) to semi-private (small courtyard for Jewish celebrations), following to the semi-public (the courtyard of the Jewish Community Centre accessible to all its visitors) and ending in a public square with a park.
